Tips and Advice to Make Travel Easier
Flying
- Make sure you have a few essentials in your hand luggage. Apart from things you might need on the plane, take a few clean clothes in case you are delayed, or your luggage doesn't arrive with you.
- Slippers, I always wear these on longer flights. Your feet increase in size when flying and shoes can become uncomfortable. Put them on in the departure lounge before boarding where you have more space.
- Consider a higher class of cabin. If you have an overnight flight, or very early departure you will sleep better and arrive more refreshed if you are in business class. You don't want to be too tired to enjoy your holiday.
Money
- US Dollars are widely changeable, but make sure you don't get high denomination local notes as local shops and taxis may not have much change.
- Pre-Paid credit cards are handy, and have the advantage that if they are stolen, they are not linked to your bank account.
